ACWORTH, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features favorite affordable, neighborhoods eats. Every Tuesday Where U Live will choose four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal, under $20.

Bring the entire family to Miss L’s Sandwich Shop for a handcrafted sandwich of your choice.  The shop is situated in historic downtown Acworth and has been there since 2001. Miss L’s only uses Boar’s Head meats and cheeses; they also serve soups, cookies, cakes and ice cream. The restaurant’s menu includes 24 sandwiches but owner Karen Littlefield says, the most popular is the Chicken Ruben served on marble rye. Every sandwich is served with a salad and a pickle for $7.75; all menu items cost less than $10. Miss L’s Sandwich Shop is located at 4817 South Main Street in Acworth.

If you want the “best pizza and Italian food in Georgia”, go out to Sal’s Pizza on Main Street in Dallas. This local favorite, also, offers dishes like the Meatball Parmesan Sub and Lasagna. Restaurant enthusiasts rave about the restaurant’s “real Italian taste” and everything on the menu is priced under $15. Sal’s is located at 308 Main Street in Dallas.

Order a bowl of famous Brunswick stew at The Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw. The acclaimed BBQ restaurant serves a platter called the “Steve’s Sampler” which includes ribs, brisket, sausage and pork with two sides. The platter boats smoked pork from fresh Boston Butts and fresh hand-trimmed spare ribs. In addition to their fresh BBQ, they’re known for their famous Banana Pudding, a signature item, and Coconut Cake. The restaurant holds a monthly baking class to teach the tricks of the trade. Big Shanty Smokehouse is located at 3393 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw.

Politicos and all others can enjoy a dinner at Right Wing Tavern on East Main in Woodstock. The Right Wing Tavern is located in a historic train depot and features a full-service dining room. Wings and burgers are named after former presidents and they embody the characteristics of each. Menu items don’t exceed $15 and the atmosphere is comfy. The restaurant is located at 251 East Main Street in Woodstock.
