Ga. House honors wounded veteran
ATLANTA -- The Georgia House of Representatives recently recognized a brave Cartersville man for his service to the country.
Staff Sergeant Phillips B. Casey and his family were invited to the House by State Representative Christian Coomer (R-Cartersville), who introduced House Resolution 8EX commending Casey for bravery and selfless service while serving as a member of the United States Army in Kandahar, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
"As an Air Force JAG with two brothers who are Army combat veterans and a dad who is a Marine, I understand the willingness to place service to others before your own self-interest.
