3 men arrested for breaking into cars | Crime
DALLAS, Ga. -- Three young Dallas residents have been arrested in connection with numerous car break-ins in northern Paulding County.
Karac Fenimore Bennett and Clinton Bradley Gordon, both 21, and their 18-year-old friend Ryan Thomas Haines were all arrested July 21.
Detectives said they were responsible for more than 30 entering auto cases in the Bentwater community near Acworth. They are now trying to connect the trio to more than 100 similar crimes in both Paulding and Cobb.
"All the vehicles that were entered in Paulding were parked in driveways at night and unlocked," said Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge. "Most of this stolen property could have been protected by either removing it from the vehicles or simply locking the car doors."
Items stolen in these crimes included GPS devices, cell phones, money, wallets, credit cards and guns. Some of the property, including the firearms, was recovered by police.
All three suspects have been charged with entering auto, credit card fraud and credit card theft. They are being held in the Paulding County Detention Center.
