Georgia farmers recognized for feeding local students

ATLANTA -- According to some studies, one in three Georgia children are obese.

Now, local farmers have teamed up with a number of school districts to help fight this battle and encourage healthy eating among the next generation.

On Wednesday, Mar. 30, members of Georgia's Farm to School program will be recognized at the Capitol for this special partnership that benefits so many people.

The national Farm to School program connects schools with local farms in order to ensure that healthy meals are served in school cafeterias and farms receive the support they need and deserve.

Currently, there are 360 Georgia schools and six full systems integrating farm to school programs.

Students and farmers alike will be at the Capitol on Mar. 30 from 12 noon until 1 p.m.

Marian Anthony is a real estate finance expert and author of Short Sale RUSH- A How To Guide for Nonperforming Assets.  According to Marian, a Short Sale is more advantageous than a Loan Modification or a Foreclosure because "the reduced payoff in a short sale releases you from the debt obligation."
