Crews recover body from Acworth lake | News
ACWORTH, Ga. -- A man drowned off South Shore Park on Lake Acworth Sunday after falling off a paddle board.
The man, 55-year-old Thomas King of Marietta was not wearing a life jacket when he went under.
Members of King's party called 911 when they saw him go under the water and not resurface.
According to Acworth Police Chief Wayne Dennard Jr., the witnesses were able to give first responders an approximate location where King went under.
Cobb County Fire rescuers located the man's body about an hour later.
