Cobb County announces Teachers of the Year | News
COBB COUNTY -- The Cobb County School District has recognized a Teacher of the Year for each academic level within Cobb County.
Cobb County schools said that the Cobb County School District includes more than 9,000 educators, and they annually recognize three teachers with district-wide honor.
The three teachers are Mrs. Carolyn Davis of Riverside Intermediate School, Dr. Richard Kaht of Dickerson Middle School and Mrs. Beth Morgan of Lassiter High School.
Davis has served as a teacher mentor, worked as part of her School Improvement Team and sponsors the Junior Beta Club at Riverside Intermediate.
Since joining Dickerson in 1999, Dr. Kaht has participated in the DMS Leadership Team, helped implement the Olweus Bullying Prevention program and collaborated with other science teachers to improve instruction throughout Cobb County.
Mrs. Morgan instructs a variety of language and humanities courses at Lassiter, including ninth and 10th grade English, British Literature, AP Language and Composition and a film class for gifted students.
