Acworth inmate died of natural causes | News

ACWORTH, Ga. -- A 53-year-old inmate who passed away at the Acworth Detention Center over the weekend most likely died of natural causes.

Douglas Jay Postell was found in bed in his cell at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Acworth Police spokesman Capt. Mark Cheatham.

Cobb County Police investigated Postell's death and determined there was no sign of foul play, Cheatham said. Postell's body was sent to the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office.

Cheatham said Postell was arrested for DUI on Aug. 15 and had a bond set at the time of his death.
