KENNESAW, Ga. -- Kennesaw State is holding a conference for the start of Homelessness Awareness Week on Monday, October 8 in the Carmichael Student Center.
According to Yolanda Rodriguez of Kennesaw State, speakers will be at the conference to talk about homelessness at the local and national levels, following Kennesaw State's recognition received in September.
Yolanda said that in July, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson read a proclamation into the Congressional Record praising the effort to raise homelessness awareness. In September, the program received proclamations from the state of Georgia, Cobb County and the City of Kennesaw.
The conference will run from 9:30 a.m. until 3:15 p.m., and last for eight days.
