I-75 reopens after potato truck crash

MARIETTA, Ga. -- A truck loaded with potatoes overturned shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday, forcing the closure of all four lanes of Interstate 75 for two hours.

Cobb Police say the wreck was located southbound, north of the Wade Green Road exit. The load of potatoes was spilled over the roadway. Police also tell 11Alive a diesel fuel spill occurred as a result of the crash and will cause the cleanup to take longer.

Police say this was a single vehicle wreck and the driver of the truck was not injured.

The road reopened at around 6:40 a.m.
