Suspect wears no pants at school bus stop
News

ACWORTH, Ga -- It has happened twice in the past two weeks. A suspicious man is greeting young girls at a school bus stop in Cherokee County and he's wearing no pants.

Thanks to one of the young girls who saw him, investigators have a detailed sketch of the suspect they hope will help them identify him. "Anyone who would so this to an adult or to a child is concerning to law enforcement," said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesperson for the Cherokee County Sheriff Office.

Investigators were impressed by the detailed description given to them by Jericka Kent, 12, who saw the suspect at her bus stop in the Cedar Mill Crossing subdivision in Acworth Tuesday morning.

With her father's approval, Jericka talked to 11 Alive News about her experience. "You know I was just walking down and as I got about 30 feet away I saw this guy standing there, totally pants less, no underwear, no nothing," she said.

It was the second time in two weeks a young girl walking to the bus stop in the subdivision saw this man. After the second incident investigators were eager to get the information out to the public. And Jericka's description made it even more important.

She described the man as white, in his late 30's to early 40's, with short brownish-blonde hair and short facial hair. He was about 5'8" tall and weighed about 230lbs. But the most important details were a tattoo surrounding his left eye, a mole on his right cheek, and an earring on his left ear lobe.

Jericka said as she turned around to walk away she noticed the man get into a black Ford sedan that had a long scratch on the passenger side. She said the car had numerous bumper stickers.

I asked her why she didn't panic. "He hadn't done anything yet," she said. "So I figured if he does try to make a move I'll have a plan, I'll run to the closest nearby neighbor."

Lt. Baker said it's very rare to get such a detailed description from a child. "I get pretty good grades at school because of my memory," Jericka said.

If you recognize the suspect in the sketch call the Cherokee County Sheriff Office at 770-928-0239 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
