Cobb's 2012 SAT scores released | Schools

MARIETTA, Ga. -- The Georgia Department of Education released the average SAT scores for the Class of 2012 Monday.

Overall, the state's recent graduates earned a score of 1452 out of a possible 2400 on the college entrance exam.

Cobb County fared very well on the 2012 SAT. Of the county's 16 high schools, 11 scored above the state average, and eight topped the national average score of 1498.

Walton High in East Cobb was the big winner with an average score of 1743.
